Welsh rockers Attack! Attack! are one of those bands you can definitely see emerging as pop rock heavy hitters in the very near future. The combination of punchy riffs, big choruses, energy and complete predictability making for a heady brew.
Latest single, HONESTY plays up to all of these factors, Attack! Attack! making a noise that immediately suggests a spirited get together of the Foo Fighters, Funeral For A Friend and Biffy Clyro. Built around an infectious chorus and held together with a barrage of distorted guitar riffs, HONESTY is the kind of tune that propels bands towards very big things. Frontman Neil Starr has a voice that straddles the Atlantic, a certain Americana twang to his Welsh native tongue, another factor surely destined to catapult Attack! Attack! to bigger and better things over the coming year.
So, all in all, HONESTY is a bounding, infectious pop rock tune from Attack! Attack!; predictable and derivative sure, but shot through with enough energy and enthusiasm to see them through.
